To Host Women's Business Forum
Sarasota,
Jul 18 - U.S. Rep. Katherine Harris will host a special
forum for women in small business on Friday, July 22, to provide
entrepreneurs with advice and feedback on small business expansion.
Harris is hosting the event for entrepreneurs
seeking fresh perspectives on how they can expand
their businesses. Harris will be joined by business
consultant Karen Magee, who will offer an interactive
presentation on how to determine profitability
and viability. In addition, Irene Hurst of the
Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will
speak about how the SBDC can assist business
owners in their expansion plans. Finally, Sarasota
entrepreneur Susan Wise will offer a personal
perspective about the challenges she faced in
expanding her own business.
Friday⤙s event is the second of a series
Harris is hosting to help women entrepreneurs
gain insight
into how they can build their businesses and
to provide networking opportunities for business
owners to share ideas and build contacts.
